What is a split?
When a doll company makes a big, gorgeous doll with intricate clothes, beautiful shoes, and interchangeable fantasy legs, but you don't want the whole thing, what do you do? You just want the head or the outfit, and don't want to pay the whole $1,000 for the entire doll.
That's where a split comes in. One person places the order for the entire doll, usually placing it on layaway, and finds buyers for each piece. Each buyer pays their part of the layaway each month to the one who placed the order. When the doll arrives at the one running the split, that person ships each piece to each buyer.
It's a bit of a complicated process in and of itself and can be potentially dangerous to your wallet if a buyer decides to back out, or if you have bad luck and get someone unreasonable who opens a PayPal claim against you. This happens more often that you would think. Or maybe you just can't find an open split with the parts available that you want.
That's where I come in.
I'm willing to do the work of running the split as well as take on the aforementioned risks. I'll make the listings, find the buyers, place the order, manage the payments, do the shipping, and I'll be the one to take responsibility if someone decides to back out halfway through. For a fee, of course.
How to get started
Just message me! Send me an email with the doll you want me to run a split for, what parts you want, and we'll go from there.
Ordering The Doll
I will first look at finding a US based retailer to order from, as it will save the split on initial shipping. If one cannot be found I will then look to ordering directly from the company.
DenverDollEmporium is the go-to company. I've worked with them a lot in the past, they are super nice, very professional, and I trust them.
I cannot officially place the order until the majority of the split has been claimed and paid for. Usually the bigger items like the body and any fantasy parts are the most expensive. I may be willing to cover smaller parts to fill the order.
Pricing
I charge a 10% fee based on each part of the split, not including shipping. The bigger the amount the bigger the risk for me, so the bigger the fee.
For example:
$365 total = $36.50 fee
$25 total = $2.50 fee
Shipping
I will not be covering shipping. Shipping from the company to me will be divided evenly between each split member. This shipping will be added into your total as part of the layaway.
Each member will then pay their own individual calculated shipping for their pieces from me to them. This individual shipping will not be due until the items are with me and ready to ship. I will not ship items until the shipping fees are paid.
I will ship internationally, but know it will be pricey!

Payment Terms and Conditions
All payments made are not refundable under ANY circumstances.
Choosing to stop payments, late payments, bounced or refunded payments, or anything along these lines will forfeit your items and any previous payments. Please make sure you are able to afford what you are buying.
I know life happens and I am extremely flexible and will work with you on setting up payment plans. If you need to make a late payment, I am happy to make arrangements with you, just let me know before hand and keep your word on your delayed payment and make the payment on the agreed date. It comes out of my pocket when anyone misses a payment.
Down payments are due up front and must be sent to me before the order is placed. For example, if your total for the split is $100 and we are doing a 6 month layaway, you will be required to pay $16.67 up front. I will set up a specific day of each month when everyone's payments are due.
I only deal with PayPal. When sending payment, please include in every payment memo your full Facebook name/username as well as list each item you are paying for in the split. If you happen to change your Facebook/username while the split is still under way, please list that it has changed and include your new name in the memos.
Payments must be made under Friends and Family, or paid through Goods and Services under the condition that you pay the PayPal fees, and in each memo for every payment you add in addition to your Facebook/username name and items:
"This is part of a layaway payment plan. I understand and agree to the term that this payment is not refundable under any circumstances."
